Question Tags
Question tag is a special construction in English. It is a mini-question that follows a statement. The whole sentence is a 'tag question' and the mini-question at the end is called a question tag. They are like short questions added to sentences, asking for agreement or confirmation.
Rules : -
1. The subject of the tag is always a pronoun. e.g.
(a) Ram is going to Jaipur, isn't he? (b) Sita is not cooking, isn't she?
2. If there is no auxiliary in the sentence, we add 'do', 'does' or 'did', depending on the tense. e.g.
(a) He goes to office, doesn't he? (b) They played football, didn't they?
